Your children are going to love this finger paint!!
Ingredients:
* 1 cup cornstarch
* 6 Cups water (4 cups + 1 1/2 cups + 1/2 cup)
* 2 envelopes of Jell-o (plain)
* 1 cup of White King Natural Laundry Soap
* 2 Tbl. of dry tempera powder
Directions:
1. Pour 4 cups of water into a saucepan and bring to a boil
2. While waiting for the water to boil, dissolve cornstarch in 1 1/2 cups of cold water. Dissolve gelatin in 1/2 cup cold water.
3. When the water boils, reduce heat to medium and slowly add cornstarch mixture, stirring constantly until thick and glossy.
4. Next, blend in gelatin mixture, soap and dry tempera until dissolved.
5. Store in a large covered container until ready to use.
Additional information:
* White King is similar to soap flakes, which are no longer manufactured. If you cannot find white king you can call Huish Detergent Company at 1-801-975-3100 for your nearest distributor!
* Paint can be divided into 8-oz portions and colored separately. Use 2 teaspoons of dry tempera powder for each portion
