How to Make Homemade Bean Bags!

Bean bags can be a super fun large Motor activity for your children! If you are not a sewer...here is an easy way to make them!

Materials needed:

* Large tube socks (multi-colored)
* Dry Beans (pinto works best!)
* Large bowl to hold the beans

Directions:

(make sure and involve your children in making these!)

1. Have your child fill the sock about 1/4 of the way full with the beans

2. Then roll the sock starting with the end that has the beans in it.

3. Fold the end of the sock over the beans when you get to the end.

4. (another option is to sew the one end closed!

Additional info:

* Make shapes with construction paper out of different colors and have the children throw the bean bag onto the matching color.
* Another activity is to have the children try and knock down liter soda bottles with the bean bags. (make sure and add some beans to the bottles!)
